I am a PhD student working in Bruce Menge and Jane Lubchenco's marine ecology lab.
My research focuses on the impact of climate change and anthropogenic stressors on marine communities. Specifically, I work in the intertidal and am interested in how community dynamics and species interactions are being altered by climate change, and whether community structure will be maintained or severely impacted by the extirpation of species over time. I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and always loved everything about the ocean. I completed my undergrad education at Cal Poly SLO and then moved up to Oregon. All three of these places gave me completely different perspectives on my identity as a multiracial woman in STEM, and I hope to use those experiences to make OSU a little bit more welcoming to future EMUS. Outside of academia, I love to make time for reading, hiking, and playing D&D with my friends from back home. |
